85 250R airbox removal

My question: Is it worth it to remove the airbox from an 85 250R? Not sure if I will see enough performance gain to justify it. Remove the air box or not, that is the question of the day. Thanks.

Carburetor jetting becomes an issue once you start messing with air flow... You may have to make carburetor adjustments.

Carb adjustments or replacing jets isn't the question, if I have to do that, I will. I'm just wondering if I will notice a difference in power or not. Anyone??

My personal preference is to leave the airbox as-is-where-is. But really, you can modify if you prefer.

Play around, remove the airbox and see if you can notice improved performance. I think the performance improvements will be minimal. But you may be able to notice and then it will be worth your time. Keep the airbox handy, if you change your mind, put it back on. I think it is just personal preference.
